Journeyman Electrician

Division: Oahu

Pay Range: $40-50 / hr

Summary

In this position, the Electrical Journeyman will take a lead role in the maintenance, operation and repair of solar electrical systems. They will also perform installation and maintenance tasks for the various areas of the Company. Qualified journeyman candidates should hold current Hawaii electrical Journeyman license and be competent in residential house wiring, service installations/upgrades and troubleshooting.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Arrive prepared for job with all needed hand tools.
  • Take the lead on all solar electrical tasks, alignment adjustments and calibration of equipment. Install complete code compliant electrical systems in residential, commercial and industrial applications.
  • Ability to complete maintenance work orders on electrical equipment. i.e.: testing, trouble-shooting malfunctioning equipment, identify defects, repair equipment and replace defective parts.
  • Follow directions using: manuals, schematics, diagrams, blueprints and equipment specifications.
  • Learn company procedures for installing and maintaining solar electrical systems following federal and safety regulations/safety requirements.
  • Comply with HIOSH and Company safety policies and practices.
  • Meet with City & County Inspectors as necessary.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Completed and current with Electrical Journeyman licence.
  • Must have extensive electrical service work experience.
  • Superior knowledge of electrical codes
  • 5 years’ experience in trades/construction with more than sufficient knowledge of electrical work.
  • Must be able to walk or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs and work on rooftops.
  • Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Must have personal tools.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional and positive demeanor.

PV Installer

Division: Oahu

Pay Range: $15-25 / hr

Summary

In this position, the PV Installer will work as part of team to install code compliant PV systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Applicants must be detail oriented, have a diligent work ethic, and positive teamwork focused attitude.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Arrive prepared for jobs with all needed hand tools.
  • Install code compliant PV systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
  • Work with a team for laying out materials and planning manpower to complete job installations.
  • Follow directions using: manuals, schematics, diagrams, blueprints and equipment specifications.
  • Learn company procedures for installing and maintaining PV and solar electrical systems.
  • Comply with HIOSH and Company safety policies and practices.
  • Complete accurate material and labor take-offs from job specific plans.
  • Work hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
  • Maintain current Hawaii Driver’s License.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of electrical and/or general construction practice.
  • 2 years’ experience in trades/construction with basic knowledge of electrical work.
  • Must be able to walk or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs and work on rooftops.
  • Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Must have personal tools.
  • NABCEP certification is desired but not required.

Lead PV Installer

Summary

In this position, the Lead PV Installer will lead jobs to install code compliant PV systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Applicants must be detail oriented, have a diligent work ethic, and positive teamwork focused attitude.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Arrive prepared for jobs with all needed hand tools.
  • Lead a team of installers to lay out and install code compliant PV systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
  • Ensure that all job materials are accounted for at the beginning and end of each project.
  • Ensure all crew members are prepared for the installation and leave the warehouse by 7:30 am each day.
  • Follow directions using: manuals, schematics, diagrams, blueprints and equipment specifications.
  • Learn company procedures for installing and maintaining PV and solar electrical systems.
  • Comply with HIOSH and Company safety policies and practices.
  • Complete accurate material and labor take-offs from job specific plans.

Plumbing Apprentice

Solar and Roofing Outside Sales Representative

Pay Range: $30 – 35 / hr

Reports to: Regional Sales Manager

FLSA Status: Salaried/Exempt

Status: Full-Time

Summary

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for cultivating the relationship with leads via inperson or telecommunication meetings and communicate with customers to identify needs, create and present proposals offering the appropriate products demonstrating value to the customer, with the goal of closing sales.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to leads or opportunities in a timely manner. If you cannot professionally service the lead, notify administration so that it may be re-assigned.
  • Canvass neighborhoods as time permits and distribute marketing information.
  • Successfully negotiate contracts with customers. This includes helping answer customer questions, addressing concerns and assisting the customer as needed with financing partners
  • Submit all contracts within 24 hours of signing
  • Always hold customer service and satisfaction in the highest regard
  • Continue excellent customer service beyond the installation of purchased products
  • Work cohesively with all Company employees and maintain a positive attitude
  • Maintain no less than a 4 star rating for all customer reviews
  • Assist the operations team throughout the installation process. Respond within 24
  • hours to any operations request for assistance, include results of action and next steps required. Follow up until issue is resolved.
  • Inspect property and assess existing conditions for project suitability
  • Actively work to gather and assist customer referrals
  • Attend all company meetings as directed by management
  • Learn and stay current on products and contracts.
  • Learn and stay current on Market trends, utility rates, solar laws and fire codes
  • Visit customers at project completion to ensure satisfaction and understanding of product installed
  • Assist in collection of any past due payments by your customers as needed
  • Actively manage pipeline using Company CRM. Update all customer information, lead status, and communication with notes in CRM on a weekly basis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 2-3 years related sales
  • experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • College degree a plus.
  • Solar/Construction related sales experience is beneficial, but not a requirement.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Analytical skills – Must have the ability to solve complex inputs.
  • Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information in
  • one-on-one to customers, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with problems in a creative manner. Must be a problem solver!
  • Experience working with Microsoft environment is a must.
  • Practices attentive and active listening; can accurately restate what others have said.
  • Enjoys working hard, is action oriented and full of energy for the things he/she sees as Challenging.
  • Relates well to all kinds of people, builds constructive and effective relationships using diplomacy and tact.
